Israel has blocked thousands of Palestinians from returning to northern Gaza, accusing Hamas of violating the terms of a fragile ceasefire by changing the order of hostages it released.
Local health authorities said on Sunday that Israeli forces fired into the crowd, killing two people and injuring nine others.

Israeli forces also opened fire in Lebanon on protesters demanding their withdrawal by a Sunday deadline in line with a separate ceasefire agreement with the militant group Hezbollah, killing at least 22 people and injuring more than 120.
And US President Donald Trump has suggested that most of Gaza’s population be temporarily resettled to “just clean up” the war-ravaged enclave.
