County of Fairfax, go – The real -time crime center of the Fairfax County Police Service (RTCC) operates advanced technology to improve public security in the national capital region. From the location of suspects to help with safer community interactions, the RTCC plays an essential role in the police services in real time every day.

Who we are
Created in April 2024, the FCPD real -time crime center is the first in northern Virginia. The RTCC is personal 24/7 and is made up of a commander, two supervisors, six detectives and an investigation assistant.
The RTCC serves as a central center to integrate and use several data and technology systems, creating key partnerships to ensure the safety of our communities.
What we do
The RTCC uses data from the license plates (LPR), community cameras flows and advanced analyzes to take care of real -time investigations. Working in close collaboration with patrol agents, the RTCC helps to identify and locate suspects and victims and helps real -time incidents.
Since its creation, RTCC has supported more than 6,500 cases in the region. In the first three months of 2025, the RTCC received more than 120 crime resolution councils and helped the Board of Directors of the Crime Solvers with the payment of more than $ 5,000 to the members of the community whose information contributed to close the active cases.
The impact
The crime center in real time is a force multiplier for the department, improving our response capacities and allowing officers in the field to make better informed decisions. While we continue to kiss the data focused on data, RTCC is at the forefront of our mission to improve security with technology.
