The interior gardening center of the Bays, located near the ocean, is welcoming in summer and the colorful flowering of flowers in the landscapes of the region with a series of summer workshops.
• Bonsaï Club, Wednesday, June 4, 10 am to noon – “Bonsai is Japanese art and the east of the culture and formation of miniature trees in containers. Whether you are a long -standing or long -standing bonsai passion, you are welcome. Bring your questions, curiosity and plants, and join our bonsai. ”

You will learn from container garden techniques when you creatively combine perennials, seasonal annuals and herbs. ”
• Gardening with plants resistant to deer with Bruce Jones, Saturday June 14 from 10 a.m. to noon. “Can you blame the deer to come to the buffet that we create in our sites when food in the few remaining wooded areas is rare? What can the gardeners do to maintain a garden that dissuades the deer to come to dinner? We will identify the attributes that make resistance to the plant and discuss the specific native plants that qualify.”

BEAUTIES American: Large native plants for difficult sites will be presented by Tim Kane on June 7.
• “It’s Seedson, with Michelle Garrett, Saturday June 21 from 10 a.m. to noon. “Learn to harvest, clean, prepare and share the seeds of your garden with your tribe!” This class will emphasize the importance of spreading your “ wealth of seeds ” in order to continue to plant native seeds that cultivate food for pollinators in your garden! Bring additional seeds that you have around your paradise plot, and we will exchange our seeds with the others at the end of the class! ”
• Delaware Botanical Garden, Hi Summer Solstice and Lunch, Private visit to DBG, Tuesday, June 24 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. for Botanical Gardens Delaware for a private visit to customers in the Inland Bays gardening center. “Your tourist guides will be Stephen Pryce Lea, director of horticulture and educational programs, with Elizabeth Rives, Docent since 2018. DBG is closed on Tuesday to the public, so our group will be the only guests in the gardens. Enjoy a picnic lunch of Kristina’s kitchen in the gardens after the visit. ”
• Family day: backyard creatures, presented by the Delaware Center for the Inland Bays in Inland Bays Garden Center, Tuesday, June 24 from 10 a.m. to noon. This program is a day for children adapted to the family – designed for parents, grandparents and tutors to learn alongside young children in their lives. A parent or tutor must stay with his children throughout the program.
“Discover different animals that you can find in your courtyard! Discover the adaptations by examining the replicas of skulls and playing camouflage games.”
Participants will have the opportunity to explore the Garden Center Inland Bays and discover different animals and insects that they could find in their own gardens thanks to practical activities. The program will also include a take -out project to help people bring their new knowledge and skills home.
