Michigan State basketball received a strong showing in the inaugural support projections from FOX Sports this year.
FOX Sports’ Michael DeCourcey released his first batch of 2025 NCAA Tournament projections on Friday, and it has the Spartans as a top-four seed. DeCourcey has the Spartans as the No. 4 seed in the Midwest Region. Michigan State would face No. 13 seed Kent State in the first round of this projected tournament bracket.
Michigan State is currently riding a five-game winning streak and has won eight of its last nine games. The Spartans are 10-2 overall and 2-0 in the Big Ten so far this year.
Next up for Michigan State is a final non-conference game against Western Michigan on Monday. The showdown between the Spartans and Broncos is scheduled for 4 p.m. ET.
