A creator of content of Indian origin living in Austria has become viral to underline the advantages of a European lifestyle, comparing hitting his life in India. Lakshay Arora, now based in Vienna, shared a video on Instagram revealing how he had unconsciously accepted chaos and toxicity as “normal” in India. By moving to Europe, Mr. Arora said that he had experienced an important change in his perspective, forcing him to unlearn his old way of life and to adapt to a more refined new lifestyle.
He highlighted the advantages of European countries, in particular their emphasis on the balance between professional and private life and the quality of global life. He noted that Europe offers a range of advantages, including an effective, clean and punctual public transport system, lower pollution levels and greener urban spaces. In addition, he mentioned a higher feeling of personal security, even at night, as well as better health care, unemployment benefits and social systems. In addition, Mr. Arora appreciated the increase in confidentiality and independence of social interactions that European culture provides, contributing to a more desirable and lasting way of life.
On the other hand, he wrote on the challenges he was confronted with in India, where life is often hectic and spoiled by bad services and alarming levels of pollution. He underlined the culture of demanding work, characterized by longer working hours and unrealistic professional expectations. In addition, he underlined the inadequacies of public transport in major cities, which are often overcrowded and ineffective.
“Vienna probably offers a calm and balanced rhythm that contrasts with the fast and chaotic lifestyle found in many Indian cities,” he wrote.

The position sparked a heated debate on the advantages and disadvantages of life in India and abroad. While Sis Post resonated with a lot, he also aroused criticism from others who did not agree with his opinions.
A user wrote: “okay. The balance between professional life and private life is good. I go on vacation for 3 weeks and my supervisors told me not to think about work or even to check my emails. My city has an AQI of 20 at the moment. My birthplace in India has 357. Health care is good.”
Another has logged in, “the only thing that will not beat India is health care. The number of doctors and nurses that we have to treat ourselves is massive. Big is crying for legends.”
A third wrote: “What is the population of the country in which you are in? 3 million? And you compare this to the lifestyle and the progression of our country? Your comparison is not valid, guy! It is easier to have a good accent on development when the crowd is smaller, isn’t it? How dare you compare the lifestyle, after knowing that these same people have invaded and pillaged for 150 years!”
A fourth added: “Once you leave, go. Stop justifying. Frankly, nobody here cares. We have enough to do and people to think, so find your peace, but for the sky, stop complaining.”
