Tensions on the repression of immigration from the Trump administration intensified this weekend after the American president Donald Trump ordered the deployment of national guard troops to Los Angeles Area to appease protests that have sometimes become violent.

Dozens of demonstrators have been arrested for facing the police in the past three days after the federal immigration authorities have carried out several raids in the city of more than four million people, especially in communities with large Latin American populations.

Trump’s decision to send the National Guard was sentenced by officials of the State and the City of California who accused the president of having ignited tensions unnecessarily.

US Northern Command confirmed that 300 national guard troops were deployed on Sunday in Los Angeles, Paramount and Compton for the sole purpose of defending buildings and federal agents. A press release indicates that around 500 navies were ready to deploy if necessary.

From the morning, the national guard troops stood in the shoulder to the shoulder, carrying long cannons and riot shields outside the metropolitan detention center in the city center of Los Angeles.
