Philadelphia (WPVI) – Many people know that a donation of blood can save up to three lives.

The vice-president of 6ABC community commitment, Nikki Hawkins knew it and wanted to give, but could not because of a medical complication.

But she only discovered it after trying to give blood.

She now hopes that her story will encourage people to give blood not only to help others, but possibly to help themselves.

The anchor of news of action Gray Hall has its history.

6ABC Blood Drive 2025

The 6ABC annual blood collection will take place on Wednesday March 26 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

This year, we offer three places where you can roll up your round: Philadelphia, Collingswood, NJ and Doylestown, PA.

You can find out more about blood collection, including the requirements to be a donor, to 6abc.com/blooddrive.
