Session set for Tuesday, June 24
Washington-Less than a week after a subcommittee of the US Senate on the Railway Industry, a subcommittee of the Chamber will hold its own session on Tuesday, June 24.
The subcommittee of the Transport and Infrastructure Committee on Railways, pipelines and the audience on dangerous materials, “America built: the role of innovation and technology in a safe and efficient rail system”, at 10:00 am on room 2167 of the office building of Maison Rayburn.
Scheduled to appear are:
– David Shannon, Managing Director of Freight Car Telematics Alliance Rail;
– Brigham McCown, founder and chairman of the board of directors of the Alliance for innovation and infrastructure;
– Eric Gabhardt, director of technology, Wabtec, on behalf of the Rail supplies Institute;
– Tony Cardwell, president of Maintenance fraternity of employee employees in the divisionInternational fraternity of teamsters.

The subcommittee of the Senate Commerce Committee on surface transport, freight, pipelines and security held its own audience on the modernization of the American rail network on June 18 as part of preparations to fight against a bill on the re-authorization of transport in 2026 (see “The hearing probes of the Senate …,” Trains News Wire, June 18, 2025).
