Paramedical honored for mental health efforts
The Minnesota Ambulance Association has honored more than 25 EMS professionals during a prize ceremony on Tuesday, one of which is recognized to support mental health after a traumatic experience themselves.
ST. Paul, Minn. (Fox 9) – On Tuesday, the Minnesota Ambulance Association organized its stars of life price ceremony to recognize paramedical paramedics and EMS professionals for their extraordinary efforts.

Mr. Health Fairview The Paramedic Stacy Jensen was part of more than 25 professionals who have been recognized.
“I am very honored,” Fox 9 HeadView M Health Fairview told Fairview. “I am very humiliated.”
In 2003, Jensen responded to a school shooting at Cold Spring. In 2004, she received a diagnosis of SSPT.
Now, several years later, she transformed her sorrow into a goal.
Jensen has launched a peer support program to support the emergency speakers of Mr. Health Fairview who have trouble with their mental health.
More than 150 emergency speakers now have access to confidential mental health support through telephone calls, SMS, emails and people in person.
“If someone (is) in difficulty, it’s a slippery slope, and if we can prevent a person from falling throughout this slope, it’s a victory,” said Jensen.
