- BusinessFounded by designer Melissa Skowlund, has moved into a space of 4,100 square feet which considerably extends its retail footprint and adds a design bar attached to customer consultations.
“We want to offer an experience that is more than a simple showcase, but rather a place that helps create great or small beauty in the life of our customers,” said Skownd. “Watersound is the ideal place for our existing customers and offers them an all-in-one experience in the city center.”
The movement comes after 12 years at the previous site of the company. Skowlund has cited the proximity of growing communities like Watersound Origins and Camp Creek as key factors in the selection of the new site, noting opportunities for new design projects in these areas.
Summer house lifestyle portfolio Trips from the properties of the Gulf along 30A to houses in the metropolitan regions, notably Washington DC, New York and Wisconsin. Skowlund’s work includes a Nashville Horse Farm domain, a Park City ski house and a property by the water in Greenwich, Connecticut.
The company also has Commercial projects completed locally, including Fonville Press d’Alys.
- “We had the honor of working on incredible projects and associating with a talented team of subcontractors and local sellers who help bring to life to the visions of our customers,” said Skownd.

The new retail space is organized by the room, allowing customers to live entirely style spaces that reflect the signing aesthetics of the company of timeless elegance.
- “Whether you are redrawing a single space or providing an entire house, our shop offers an immersive room experience per bedroom that helps you see all the possibilities,” said Skownd.
The store is A range of home furniture, including white linen sofas, woven textiles, natural stone parts and wallpaper selections. The store also offers clothing and brands accessories such as Anna Beck Jewelry, Autumn Cashmere, Brochu Walker and Krewe Eyewear. Recent additions include Ann Mashburn and Karen Adams Designs.
Skowlnd underlines A philosophy of design focused on a sophisticated aesthetic which completes the personal tastes of customers rather than on the pursuit of trends.
- “We want to help customers reach a level of sophistication and beauty that completes their personal taste without feeling as if they had to go above to do it or join the industry trends that change quickly,” she said.
A ribbon cup ceremony With the Walton Region Chamber of Commerce is scheduled for Thursday, May 1 at 4 p.m., followed by a large opening celebration with refreshments and gifts. The public is invited to attend.
