Hen Hud’s university flag football team concluded its historic season in 2025 with a 40-14 defeat against Owego Free Academy Invainu (Section 4) in the regional championship on May 31. (Complete summary available. here))
Despite the defeat, the sailors celebrated an out-of-competition season which included a section title, a file of 14-4 and several individual honors.
Head coach Craig Solomon is now faced with the challenge of reconstruction, while the team will get eight seniors – including the most precious player in class C, Lucy Mager, and class C of the year Sasha Lemus Villeda.
Softball
Friday, May 30, Albertus Magnus was ahead of HEN HUD n ° 3, 3-2, to claim the class A softball championship of section 1 at the sports complex of the city of Hatustraw.
Despite the loss, Hen Hud pushed the Falcons to the limit. The match remained aimlessly until the fifth round, when Emma Barbelet led to Kiely Morley with a point of earthen to give the sailors an advance of 1-0. The final statistics for sailors include: Kiely Morley 1-Pour-3, a marked race and a walk, Aneglina Carbone 3-Pour-4, Janae Walker 1-Pour-3 with a walk, Emma Barbelete 1-Pour-3 with a RBI, Stella Kreber 1-Pour-3 with a RBI, McKenna Silverman with a marked race and two Walks. Bella Booth a single.
With the victory, Albertus Magnus went to the regional final on Saturday June 7.
The following week, the coaches in Section 1 recognized several sailors with honors in the playoffs. Barbelet and Walker have won all the sections, while Carbon was appointed an honorable mention.
Hen Hud ends the 2025 season with a global record of 15-7 and will say goodbye to the seniors Kiely Morley and Janae Walker.
“We had an exciting season,” said head coach John Glashoff Peekskill Herald. “Losing the final of the section was disappointing for all of us, but the girls will go back to the race we had and will realize how fun and special.”
He added: “The best wishes to Janae and Kiely as they will go to their next chapter. They will do great things. We will make a lot of girls but these two will be missed.”
Spring track
Several sailors were in action on Tuesday June 3 at Hendrick Hudson High School, competition in the hammer, the javelin, the sections of the race of the race and the qualifier of the state of the Pentathlon.
On the girls’ side, Chloé Howard won the 1,500 meter walk with a time of 8: 04.60, while Maida Dapcevic won the class B javelin throw at 22.94 meters.
For boys, Taiten Robinson obtained a fourth place in Pentathlon, totaling 2,447 points.
Then, the sailors will go to the qualifications of the state of section 1, which will take place on Thursday, June 5 at Arlington Secondary School and Friday June 6 at Suffern Middle School.
College surveillance
Female butt – Division I: Tuesday, June 3, the Mid-American conference announced its annual academic All-Mac honors for the butt. The standard goalkeeper of the University of East Michigan (EMU), Maddie Porter (class of 2023), was one of the 14 UEM students recognized for their academic results.
To qualify for All-Mac academic honors, a student-athlete must be at least one second year student, maintain a minimum weighted weighted average of 3.20 (GPA) and participated in at least fifty percent of their team competitions during the season. Porter, a major in criminology and criminal justice, maintained a GPA of 3.28.
Baseball – Division III: Earlier this week, Michael Gagliardi, Michael Gagliardi of the University of Susquehanna (2023 class), was appointed to the university team of any college district.

To win honors from all districts, students-athletes must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or more for at least two competitive seasons and have started or played in the majority of their team matches.
According to Susquehanna University Athletics, Gagliardi was the only player of this year starting the 40 games at the Cop stop this season. He ranked second in the team with an average of the stick of .325 (51 for 157), collecting 11 doubles, 33 products produced and nine sticks to the stick. He also ranked fourth in the team with a basic percentage of .402, making 18 goals on bullets. He recorded a percentage of commissioning of .962, making only seven errors on 185 chances and helping to shoot 17 double games.
