Many people have low -level risk factors, such as the first signs of heart disease, which flows inside their body. But they can only take preventive measures if they are aware of the potential threats. It is the philosophy behind the health of the function, the startup which leads a new push towards proactive and preventive health care. For $ 499 per year, hundreds of thousands of members of the function undergo two cycles of blood tests; An initial assessment with more than 100 tests, then, three to six months later, a follow -up comprising more than 60 retestes to monitor how numbers change. In May, the company announced that it had acquired Ezra, allowing the function to offer a complete MRI which will only take 22 minutes and cost members of an additional $ 499 (approximately a third of what the competitors invoice). Although the function does not provide treatment, members receive personalized ideas and recommendations from the company’s team of clinicians. “This is the future of the way people will manage their health for life,” explains the co-founder and CEO Jonathan Swedlin. “We miss a platform or a system that can help us manage our health outside the acute problems.”
