Health data finds that 1 of the 2 Indians suffer from a lifestyle disorder; How we need to focus on preventive health care

Redcliffe Labs conducted a complete study which revealed the trends concerning the growing prevalence of lifestyle disorders in India. By analyzing the health data of 2.8 million individuals, the study revealed that every Indian second is faced with the risk of developing health conditions linked to lifestyle choices, 52% of the people concerned are women and 48% men. Conditions such as diabetes, thyroid disorders, lipid imbalances, kidney problems, liver diseases, arthritis, cardiovascular disorders and even cancer are now more widespread. Experts attribute this growing burden to rapid urbanization, increasingly sedentary habits, high stress levels, unhealthy diets, excessive screen time and generalized availability of ultra- Treaties.

The results highlight the critical need for proactive health care initiatives. The promotion of awareness and empowerment of individuals to take care of their well-being can play a vital role in reducing the prevalence of these diseases. Preventive advice to reduce your risk of lifestyle disorders

1. Adopt a balanced diet

4. Prioritize quality sleep

Poor sleep disrupts hormone regulation, resulting in weight gain, increase in cortisol levels and insulin resistance. Aim 7 to 9 hours of sleep resting every night by maintaining a coherent sleep schedule and limiting screen time before bed.

5. Stay hydrated and support kidney health

Good hydration is essential for kidney function and detoxification. Drink a lot of water throughout the day while limiting sugary and caffeinated drinks that can contribute to kidney tension and dehydration.

6. Limit screen time and encourage active breaks

Prolonged digital exposure contributes to poor posture, eye fatigue, disturbed sleep cycles and an increase in stress. Adjust the screen time limits and take regular movement breaks to reduce eye fatigue.

7. Maintain a healthy weight

Excess weight increases the risk of diabetes, thyroid dysfunction, foie gras and cardiovascular disease. Focus on conscious food, control of portions and a well-balanced lifestyle rather than restrictive diets for sustainable weight management.

8. Avoid smoking and limit alcohol consumption

Smoking and excessive alcohol consumption contribute to liver damage, cardiovascular disease and metabolic imbalances. The reduction or elimination of these habits can considerably reduce the risk of developing lifestyle disorders.

9. Stay proactive with regular health projections

Preventive health measures, such as routine screening for blood pressure, cholesterol levels, kidney function and thyroid health, help detect problems early. Early intervention allows better management and reduces the risk of serious complications.

By making these lifestyle adjustments, individuals can considerably reduce their risk of chronic conditions and improve their overall health and well-being.
