Albuquerque, NM – A health alert was published for the county of Bernalillo and the Albuquerque region for the afternoon.
The alert began at 11 a.m. and should last upon 5 p.m. for forest fires and thunderstorms in the south of the new mexico, to blame for foul air.
South winds push dust and smoke in the area. People with breathing problems are invited to limit their time outside.
Air quality should improve gradually throughout the afternoon.
3 p.m. Update: the health alert was extended at 8 p.m.
