Middletown, Pennsylvania – Penn State Harrisburg Counselling and Psychological Services (CAPS) and the Student Government Association will organize their third annual mental health panel on February 26.
“Be held together, heal together – a conversation on the construction of a compassionate community”, will take place from 6.30 pm to 8 pm in the auditorium of the olmsted building, room C213.
Students, teachers and staff are invited to attend to explore “the spectator effect” while breaded students explain why actions – or the lack of actions – count, why people sometimes hesitate to act in times criticism and how to make a difference as passers -by.
The conversation led by students will cover what it means to be a compassionate and committed campus community with regard to mental health, as well as share mental health resources available for students.
Students can receive a first -year seminar credit for participating.
