In a moment of deep religious significance, saroops or physical copies, of the Guru Granth Sahib, the holy writing of Sikhism, were recently transported from Delhi to Hong Kong with the highest level of reverence. Considered the living incarnation of the teachings of the Sikhs gurus, the sacred texts were piloted on an Air India flight, with the entire business class reserved exclusively to ensure their respectful manipulation.

Air pilot India Sarab Jaspreet Minhas went to Instagram to share a transport video, expressing his honor by being part of the process. He legend the clip:
“Being blessed and privileged to be part of the Air India team for the transport of Guru Granth Sahib Ji Saroops (BIR) from New Delhi in Hong Kong. The whole business class was reserved, and the task was carried out gently, following the religious code of conduct of the whole team and the local team of Hong Kong Gurdwara. ”

The rituals followed with the greatest devotion
Captain Minhas, as well as other designated individuals, bore the saroops on the head of respect when boarding the plane. Each saroop was placed on a separate seat throughout the trip. Upon arrival at Hong Kong International Airport, the same solemn protocol was followed because they were carefully transported via aerobridge and in the terminal.
Another clip shared by Minhas showed that saroops were respectfully moved by immigration and presented in detail to the local team of Hong Kong Gurdwara. He expressed his gratitude to the authorities of the airport and the India air staff for their full cooperation, declaring:
“Guru Granth Sahib Ji Saroops was very diligently and respectfully, until immigration and further by the local members of the Hong Kong Gurdwara team @ BaljindersingH6980 to the Gurdwara itself. Special thanks to the authority of Hong Kong airport and Air India staff for giving the leaven and respect for all rituals by offering total cooperation. ”.
