Google has sent emails to advertisers of local services informing them that their Google business profile accounts are not affiliated with your local services account. This means that your opinions will only be accepted via your Google corporate profile link and not the link of local service advertisements.
The email received by Alex Sparks on X and Anthony Higman on X said: “This Google corporate profile belongs to your business and it has been affiliated with (name here) on local services ads by Google.”
“New reviews on local services announcements must now be collected via your Google corporate profile link. Your old link for reviews will no longer work,” added the email.
Google then shared the URL to find out where you can get customer reviews in the future.

We knew it was going to happen last October, Google started require that LSA accounts have Google business profile lists. This came after a notice of future changes April before.
E-mail continues to explain:
What changes:
- Fresh Focus On reviews: Your new customer reviews will be managed from the Google corporate profile, not your local service announcements account. From the beginning of 2025, your existing customer reviews will also be managed from your Google corporate profile. Opinions will come from both your local service advertisements and your Google corporate profile.
- Why is it important? When your accounts are affiliated, managing your business on Google becomes easier and even more secure. Learn more. From now on, you must have a Google public public affiliation profile to disseminate local advertisements.
- Matters safety: Google corresponds to your ad with your business to make sure that only authorized people can manage your ad, calls and messages. Sometimes Google can ask a company verified to check certain information again.
