Athens, Ga. – Wayne-Sanderson farms announced an additional donation of $ 2 million for the new Poultry building at the University of Georgia. The gift supports the poultry producer’s project based in Georgia at $ 4.1 million.
The combined gift will appoint the poultry sciences lobby, a space of 1,300 square feet so that students can study and network with industry partners.

Wayne-Sanderson Farms is the third poultry producer in the country, employing more than 26,000 team members and working with more than 2,000 family farms.

Caes advances the science of poultry with advanced installations

Located on the southern UGA campus, the Building over 70,000 square feet Provides nearly double the space per student in each class than the previous establishment, from around 17 square feet to 28 to 30 square feet per student.
Additional updates include new laboratories and collaborative spaces, a food security intervention space where researchers can execute validation of poultry treatment methods to reduce food -based pathogens and essential infrastructure updates.
