ATLANTA – A group of Georgia senators moves to protect manufacturers from fertilizer and pesticides from responsibility if they do not arrive consumers from health risks above what is required by the federal government.
Bill 144 of the Senate would require companies to avoid any responsibility for health risks which do not require a warning from the US Environmental Protection Agency.
According to the text of the bill, companies that produce killers of bugs and fertilizers may not be responsible for not having warned their customers of health risks above federal requirements.
This means that if the following warnings appear on the label of the federal government, any additional warning would no longer be necessary.

According to legislation, agriculture of $ 91 billion in Georgia and related industries must be strengthened. For the purposes of legislation, legislators focus on reducing state dependence on pesticides and fertilizers of important foreigners, such as those brought from China.
Instead, senators who have tabled the bill claim that “all efforts must be made to strengthen American domestic production of pesticides, including the clarification of the regulatory authority for pesticide labeling.”
To this end, if it is adopted, the bill would require that any pesticide registered with the Commissioner of Agriculture in Georgia must have a label approved by EPA before January 1, 2026.
The label must comply with the most recent risk assessment for human health under the provisions of the federal law on insecticides, fungicides and rodenticides, which requires warning labels for various conditions, such as ::
