Gabrielle Union responds to plastic surgery rumors that have been floating in the atmosphere.
While talk with people in a post published Thursday, Union said she didn’t get a makeover — but was using a trick instead.
“A high pony for a woman of a certain age is like a facelift,” the 52-year-old actor told the outlet during a promotion for a salon “experience” using his hair care line.
“As much as there is speculation about what is or isn’t happening with my face, if you can’t miss six months to get a makeover – which I’ve never missed in six months – do it right – the high pony will rip you off.
Union highlighted the ease of achieving this look, adding, “A high pony is all you need — and it doesn’t cost you anything.”
In October, Publication of the Instagram account “Fashion Bomb Daily” several photos of Union and her husband, Dwyane Wade, and users had strong opinions about the actor’s appearance. One user commented: “Fillers need to be removed,” while another wrote: “Why would she do that to her face?” I am devastated.
The actress, who has been in the spotlight since the 90s, is no stranger to fans and followers criticizing her appearance.
By appearing on the podcast “Who what to wear with Hillary Kerr” last year, the union spoke out on harsh comments she received when she posted a swimsuit photo on Instagram.

The “Bring It On” actor recalls being told she was “too old” to wear that type of swimsuit and one user even commented that she was “old enough to to be someone’s grandmother.”
True to form, Union owned her body and said, “You’re going to see these cheeks until my butt literally falls off, and I might just wear a bikini in the coffin.”
