Mikal Mahdi, 41, will be put to death on April 11 after pleading guilty of murder for having killed a police officer in 2004.
“Faced with barbaric and inhuman choices, Mikal Mahdi chose the least of three ailments,” said one of his lawyers, David Weiss, in a statement. “Mikal chose the shooting team instead of being burned and mutilated in the electric chair, or suffering from persistent death on the gurney of lethal injection.” …Learn more
