In 2022 MellenoCamp revealed on social networks that it had been diagnosed with melanoma – The most dangerous form of skin cancer.

Melanoma is a serious form of skin cancer. It is melanocyte cancer, which are cells that produce melanin, the pigment which is mainly responsible for giving the skin its color, according to Canadian melanoma website.
According to the World Health Organization, 85% of melanomas in Canadian men and women aged 30 years and over are allocated to exposure to UV radiation from the sun or artificial sources such as tanning beds.
Melanoma is one of the fastest growth cancers in the world. In Canada, Melanoma’s incidents have more than tripled over the past 30 years, according to the organization.
The website also notes that more than 1,300 Canadians will die from melanoma each year, but survival rates are high if melanoma is detected early.
