The family of a woman in British Columbia was in Calgary on Saturday to protest the consulate of Mexico.
Kiara Agnew23 years old, was killed on vacation with her boyfriend in Mexico in March 2023.
Agnew grew up in New Brunswick before moving to her adolescence in Dawson Creek, where as an adult, she worked in a box.
The young woman left the community in northern British Columbia with her partner to celebrate her 24th birthday on the Riviera Maya.
She was never able to enjoy the holidays.

Agnew and her boyfriend arrived in Playa del Carmen, where the family said that the couple planned to sail, go to snorkel and visit Mayas ruins.
The next day, Agnew’s family in Canada was informed of his death.
