An explosion damaged a artificial health establishment in Palm Springs in the WE California state on Saturday. Police and firefighters responded to an explosion.
The explosion led to a person’s death. Quoting sources of application of the law and the establishment, ABC News reported that at least five people had been injured in the explosion.
Blast was “intentional” – the police
Local police said the explosion was probably triggered in a deliberate attack.
“The explosion seems to be an act of intentional violence and the explosion extends over blocks with several damaged buildings, some seriously,” said Palm Springs police chief Andy Mills. “There was a death, the identity of the person is not known.”
Meanwhile, the FBI characterized the explosion as an “act of terrorism”.
“It was an act of intentional terrorism. As our investigation will take place, we will determine if it is international terrorism or domestic terrorism,” the FBI office office in Los Angeles, adding that the clinic had been deliberately targeted during the attack.
What caused the explosion to Palm Springs?
The mayor of Palm Springs said that the explosion was caused by a bomb.
“It was identified as a bomb that was in or near the car,” said Mayor Ron Deharte.
The government of Palm Springs City said in an article on Facebook that the explosion had taken place before 11 a.m. PDT (6 p.m. GMT).
The Los Angeles office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation said in an article on social networks that he was investigating the explosion and had deployed bombs technicians on the scene.
What does the clinic say?
Dr. Maher Abdallah, director of the reproductive American Centers Fertility Clinic, confirmed that his clinic had been damaged.
In a telephone interview with the Associated Press, he said that all his staff was safe and taken into account.
“I really have no idea what happened,” said Abdallah. “Thank goodness today, we were a day when we have no patients.”
The explosion damaged the office space where consultations with patients are carried out, but left the IVF laboratory and all unscathed embryos, Abdallah said.
