Jackson, MS – The Wildlife Department, Fisheries and Mississippi Parks from Mississippi invites visitors to discover the hidden world of science in your backyard.
Explore a garden of wonders, see the outdoors through the eyes of a bee, walk in a digital garden and discover the night creatures at the exhibition of backyard adventures. This exhibition is open from May 24, 2025 to January 4, 2026 and is included with admission to the museum or with membership of the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science Foundation.
Backyard Adventures, created by Scitech in Perth, in Australia and produced by Imagine in Atlanta, GA, underlines the importance of staying healthy and active by showing visitors how much you await you outside and that there is more in your backyard than you imagine. The exhibition consists of interactive scientific events such as Night Vision, Bee’s Eye View, Giant Pumpkin Bonanza, Critter Calls, Giant Skipping Rope, Backyard Sports, Garden Golf and Reality Garden Lisel.
“The adventures of the backyard show that you do not have to go far to explore something incredible. This exhibition invites you to see the outdoors through a new goal that is full of science, surprises and daily wonder,” said the director of the Angel Rohnke museum.

In the exhibition, visitors will learn and experiment that the Court is full of science of biological interactions between plants and insects, the zoology of night animals, the horticultural scientist how it goes in the growth of giant vegetables, the mathematical genius necessary to lay pans and construction exploits that can take place in rejection.
