Hatch Product Development & Contract Manufacturing has authorized advanced EV load technology from the American energy department‘s Argonne National Laboratory.

The platform allows constant digital communication between electric vehicles, load stations and the electrical network using protocols such as ISO 15118 and SWCAN (SAE J2411). This supports the bidirectional load, the control of multi-apparents and remote diagnostics. Hatch will manufacture and develop more internal technology in its establishment in Waukegan, Illinois.

“We have designed this platform to be flexible, secure and scalable, allowing the next generation of load technologies to integrate more intelligently into the network,” said Jason Harper, main electrician engineer at the Argonne National Laboratory. “We are delighted to see Hatch entering the market by focusing on American manufacturing and high quality deployment.”

“We have worked in close collaboration with Argonne on this technology for years, and we think that it has the potential to upgrade the functioning of the intelligent load load infrastructure in the national network integration,” said Addison Merchut, co -president of Hatch.
