Disney today launched ESPN on Disney+, giving subscribers a seamless way to enjoy ESPN+ content alongside Disney+ and Hulu programming. This integration enhances the bundled Disney+, Hulu and ESPN+ experience, delivering live sports, general entertainment and family content in one app.
Today’s launch is also an extension of ESPN’s mission to serve sports fans anytime, anywhere. This is the next step toward the launch of ESPN’s flagship direct-to-consumer product in early fall 2025, paving the way for ESPN’s leading digital sports platform and bringing this expanded lineup of programming sports on Disney+.
ESPN on Disney+ offers more than 30,000 live sports events, 6,000 hours of original content and more than 100 hours of studio programming annually to Bundle subscribers.
In the next 90 days alone, subscribers can expect 5,000 live events and new series from ESPN. Standalone Disney+ subscribers also get a preview, with access to select ESPN+ events like “The Simpsons Funday Football” animated Monday Night Football game, a Christmas Day lineup of five NBA games, more the animated presentation of the NBA “Dunk the Halls”exclusive NHL matches and coverage of day one of the Australian Open.
