Decca Live will feature a multi-level concert venue as well as a rooftop lounge overlooking the river.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Downtown Jacksonville will soon have a new live entertainment venue. Decca Live is a multi-level music venue with a rooftop bar overlooking the city.
On Thursday, January 23, a ribbon cutting ceremony was held to celebrate the project that has been years in the making.
Mayor Donna Deegan was one of many people who attended and shared in the excitement.
“It’s really amazing work,” Deegan said. “Four years in the making, it’s been, through the coid through everything you could imagine. This place couldn’t be more beautiful.”
The historic building is located at 323 East Bay Street in downtown Jacksonville.
Decca Live owners Evan Rajta, Aleksander Lukaj and Shawn Rouf look forward to bringing music and nightlife to a city close to their hearts.
“It seems unreal,” said Rajta First Coast News. “We’re very excited. It’s been a long time. We’ve been residents here for a while and we thought we’re not going to be complainers, we’re going to do something.”
The first floor will be open and will house the main stage. The second floor will be open to the ground floor in a mezzanine style.
The music venue will accommodate around 1,000 people. The roof will be its own space with a living room-focused vibe.
The covered roof houses a bar with an open-air section for guests to enjoy the river views.
Decca Live says it will bring a diverse range of genres and styles to the city.
American DJ and EDM star Kaskade is performing on January 31 for the grand opening.
Tickets are $40 for early entry general admission (before 10:30 p.m.) and $50 for general admission level. Doors open at 10 p.m. It is open to those 18 and over.
