Many university students spend the Christmas holidays cooped up with their parents, enjoying home-cooked meals and the comfort of family, before returning to their university residences in January.
A student living a completely different life is Harry Potter actress Emma Watson, who took a break from her studies to enjoy an ultra-luxurious festive stay in France.
The 34-year-old man is he is believed to be studying for a master’s degree in creative writing at Oxford University, but his Christmas break saw the star go down the slopes in Franceon the way to a glamorous ski holiday.
In a series of fun photos, Emma can be seen skiing in the upmarket resort of Courchevel with friends, wearing black ski pants, a white sweater and a sky blue checkered ski coat, accessorized with a silly reindeer antler headband.
Emma looks confident as she takes on the ski slopes, hurtles down the mountain and smiles broadly – and she’s not the only member of the Watson family with skills on the slopes.
Her brother, Alex, with whom she shares the Relais gin brand, also recently enjoyed a ski holiday, visiting the Austrian resort of Leche for his snow holiday.
It’s no surprise that Emma seems to be a ski professional, as she has long owned a vacation home in the nearby ski resort of Méribel.

“It’s a very pretty resort, unspoiled and certainly not sprawling, and the scenery is spectacular. Snow is guaranteed as it’s at a high altitude. Ms Watson is a keen skier and uses a local instructor who says it’s very pleasant and unpretentious.”
The French hole is said to have been the first property Emma acquired when she gained access to her Harry Potter fortune, but she also owns a house in Canonbury Place in London, which is said to have four bedrooms, two bathrooms and two living rooms.
It is unclear whether Emma commutes from London to Oxford for her studies or whether she has rented a property in her university town.
