TEMPE, AZ —’Electric Pickle” has “entertainment” as their top priority – and they’re not just focusing on the sport of pickleball once they open in Tempe.

“We will have DJs, live bands, large corporate rentals, Bocce Ball, (a) candle club on the second floor, which will be both private and open to the public. And it’s really kind of a complete entertainment venue,” said Paul Frederick, founder and co-CEO of Electric Pickle and Eureka! Restaurant Group, in a previous interview with ABC15.

The company will open in Arizona at the Emerald Center near Interstate 10 and Warner Road in Tempe.

“Electric Pickle” was originally scheduled to open December 16, then December 23, but now aims to open January 6, 2025.

The venue will be compromised by a two-story building that will house a restaurant and the premises will house nine pickleball courts with a view that might make you think you’re not in the valley.

“It’s going to feel like you were taken away from the heat like in Tulum. (There will be a lot of) landscape, it’s very lush. There (are) a lot of water games. There are fires at night, and it’s sort of a vacation spot, if you will. And that’s all, that’s part of that whole fun factor that we’re looking for, (is) allowing people to escape from their everyday lives and come to a place that’s fun, hospitable, and we’re here to take care of you,” Frederick told ABC15.

According to Frederick, the restaurant’s menu will feature a wide range of options.

“Our philosophy is global comfort cuisines, or global eclectic cuisine. And we prepare different recipes from all over the world,” Frederick shared. “So it could be a Korean bowl (,) tacos from Mexico, Neapolitan pizza, American sandwiches and burgers, (…) we also have sushi rolls. So, it’s really a bit of everything, but it’s definitely merchandising. So there is something for everyone. We call this a good “dumbbell menu,” meaning that across the board there is something for everyone, and it is very affordable.

This Tempe location not only marks its Arizona debut, but also its flagship in the United States, as the company plans to open more across the country.

This is what the new concept should look like
