Edmonton’s Oilers sign the young German center at 2 years old – Edmonton

THE Edmonton Oilers Signed two attackers who played in Europe, including a 23 -year -old center that spent last season playing in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga, the club announced on Wednesday.

The Oilers said Josh Samanski two -year entry -level contract with the In the NHL The team will launch next season. Samanski, a six -foot five -feet center from Germany, also has Canadian citizenship.

This season, he scored 14 goals and 26 assists for 40 points in 52 games with the Tigers Del’s Straubing.

In 2019-2020, Samanski spent a season to play in the Ontario hockey league with the attack on the Owen sound, where he scored four goals and 16 assists in 54 games.

Samanski competed for the German national team at two world tournaments of ice hockey championship and in a Deutschland cup. He also played with Straubing at the Spengler 2024 Cup.

The terms of the contract have not been disclosed.

The Oilers also signed a 29 -year -old Czech striker on Wednesday.

The club announced that David Tomasek had accepted a one-year contract for the 2025-26 season worth 1.2 million US dollars.

Tomasek played in several European hockey professional leagues, more recently as a member of Farjestad BK in the Swedish Elite League where he led this League in points last season.

Tomasek was also a member of the Czechie team who captured gold in the IIHF 2024 world championship.
