In the midst of uncertainty surrounding the prices of the Trump administration – imposing them, then reducing them for more than 70 counties – some business owners and buyers at Eden Center are on board and try to write a forward path.

When Teana Nguyen learned for the first time in terms of the administration of President Donald Trump for a rate of 46% on imported articles in Vietnam, she was in conflict on how to proceed.

Nguyen owns Pho 7 Corners, which is nestled inside Eden Center, a well -known shopping place with tea stores, grocery stores, restaurants and retail trade in Falls Church, Virginia. He was told about the prices and expected it to have an impact on his business.

She buys Vietnam fish, she said, and it has become expensive and difficult to obtain. Many other restaurant staples come from Canada.

She has not yet felt the need to increase prices, and she worries about the prospect of doing it a second time if she had to make a change.

In the midst of uncertainty surrounding the prices of the Trump administration – imposing them, then reducing them for more than 70 counties, including Vietnam – some business owners and Eden Center buyers are on board and try to make a way forward.

The Local Arlnow information site first reported the Plaza’s response in both directions.

“I would like to be, it is settled, and that is 100%sure,” said Nguyen. “So I can only increase once.”

Currently, a meal at the Nguyen restaurant costs around $ 20, not to mention tax or tip. She noticed fewer people who eat outside, probably because they have to save money for essential elements, such as insurance or housing.

“If we increase the rate to achieve our profits, this will affect the customer,” said Nguyen. “Now I’m so nervous, I don’t know what to do.”

Twee Galvin, on the other hand, said that she expected that some people spend less money on luxury due to the price change. She suspects that some people, who can do their nails once a week, will now wait two or three weeks and will follow a similar model with haircuts or see a film.

By eating outside, Galvin said: “We are not consuming as much. Instead of the full table, we may order two, three dishes.”

She noticed that the price of fish and beef increases in the grocery store, even if she suspects that supermarkets are doing well, because people can eat more at home instead of eating.

James, who refused to give his surname to Wtop, said that he buys vegetables at the Good Fortune supermarket from Eden Center and obtains meat in Costco.

“It looks like, in the long term, everyone will suffer,” he said. “I don’t know why it happens, but perhaps that in the future, things will come back to normal.”

Tony Nguyen, however, said things could be “this year, more expensive, but next year. We survive with everything that the government gives us. ”

Alan Frank, Vice-President Director of Capital Commercial Properties, owner of the Eden Center complex, said the tenants are “very resilient”.

“It has never been so busy,” said Frank. “It has never been so well known. I don’t know what’s going to happen with the prices, but I don’t see a huge impact on Eden Center.”

In a press release, the mayor of Falls Church, Letty Haridi, said that “uncertainty and cervical boost to know if the prices are in progress or in off
