President Donald Trump announced on Truth Social Saturday Night that “great progress” had been made during the trade negotiations of the weekend with China.
During the meeting in Geneva, Switzerland, between American officials, including the Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, and a Chinese delegation, “many things” were discussed and “a lot (a) accepted,” said Trump.
No major breakthrough has been announced in discussions that lasted more than 10 hours, reported the Associated Press, and negotiations are expected to continue on Sunday.

The administration has announced A series of prices April 2 and then imposed a 145% rate on Chinese products.
After having reduced reciprocal prices on other countries for 90 days to a basic line of 10%, China has raised prices on American products at 125%.

Trump told journalists on Thursday at White House China “many” wanted to conclude an agreement, ending the intense tariff battle.
Although the president did not provide a lot of details on Saturday evening, he described the agreement as “a total reset negotiated in a friendly but constructive manner”.

A long -standing supporter of the prices, Trump argued that “fair” homework could approach the country’s record trade deficit of $ 1.2 billion from 2024 and encourage the return of American manufacturing jobs.
Bessent said in April that prices could cost China up to 10 million jobs, which makes Chinese prices unbearable.
