Durham, nc – Preston Greene was announced as the Director of Sports Performance of the Duke basketball program.

A leader respected at the national level in the field with more than 30 years of experience, Greene joined the Blue Devils following a career of strength and packaging decorated with striking stops in Clemson, Miami (Florida), Florida, Stanford, Charlotte and Arizona.

“Preston is a transformational addition to our program,” said the Duke basketball coach Jon Scheyer. “His reputation speaks of himself – an elite experience, an incredible background of success and a deep understanding of how to develop physically and mentally athletes. Our team will benefit a lot from their leadership, knowledge and presence.”

Greene was recently director of the basketball force and packaging in Clemson, where he helped Tigers at 24 victories and an appearance of the Elite Eight NCAA in 2023-24-The deepest tournament of the program takes place in more than four decades.

Before returning to Clemson, Greene spent the 2022-23 season in Miami (Florida), where her work in the bodybuilding room played a central role in the Hurricanes race in the Final Four. In 2008-2009, Greene was chief trainer of male basketball in Stanford under the head coach of the first year and former Duke Blue Devil Johnny Dawkins. He also held key positions in Charlotte and Arizona, where he worked with several sports and led nutrition and supplementation efforts.

Originally from Peachtree City, in Georgia, Greene obtained her baccalaureate in health sciences with a minor in Clemson sport management in 1999. He obtained a master’s degree in applied kinesiology and sports management of the University of Minnesota in 2000. Improvement specialist.
