At 11:05 a.m. EST, the unmanned SpaceX Dragon spacecraft detached from the forward port of the Harmony module at International Space Station following an order from SpaceX ground controllers.
After re-entering Earth’s atmosphere, the spacecraft will make a parachute-assisted water landing off the coast of Florida on Tuesday, December 17. NASA will not broadcast the landing but will post updates on agency information. space station blog.
Filled with nearly 6,000 pounds of crew supplies, scientific investigations and equipment, the spacecraft arrived at the orbiting laboratory on November 5 after launch. November 4 on a Falcon 9 rocket from Launch Complex 39A at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida for the agency’s 31st SpaceX Commercial Resupply Services mission.
