On April 1, the Tricare online patient portal will no longer be available. The new electronic health file of the Ministry of Defense –MHS Genesis—Has replaced the TOL patient portal. As part of the transition, the DOD starts the Patient Tol portal.
If you wish to keep a copy of your health files inherited for personal use, you must download them from the TOL patient portal before April 1.

The change of TOL to MHS Genesis eliminates the need to maintain two systems and rationalize the management of the DSE.
- Supplier access: Your supplier will continue to have access to your full health files.
- Personal access: You can use the steps below to download your inherited recordings for personal use before April 1. You can also request a physical copy of your Hospital or military clinicFile management office. To do this, you will have to fill out a request form in person, then return to an hour designated later to recover the recordings. From April 1, if you want your inherited health files, you will have to follow this process.
To keep copies of your inherited health files, follow them instructions::
- Visit www.tricareonline.com.
- Connect: Connect using your DS DS, CAC or DFAS MYPAY connection information. If you do not have a DS connection, you will have to create a By clicking on “need an account”.
- Access: On the TOL home page, click the blue “Health Recording” button to display your personal health data.
- Find data: Select “Download my data”. You will see several categories of data.
- Personalize: Choose the person, the data types, the dates range and the format for the recordings you want to download.
- Download: You can choose to download your records in portable document format (.pdf) or as a continuity (.xml) continuity document. The CCD format allows you to share your data with the family, caregivers, suppliers and health systems, or to document data in your favorite personal health file.
- To safeguard: After downloading, you can either open the file or save it safely for future use. You can also print your folders and store them in a safe place.
- Your files will not be transferred to MHS Genesis once TOL DECOMMISSIONS.
- Your TOL health files only reflect periods when your military hospital or clinic used Tol. Note: If you have moved from one service position to another, and that a hospital or a military clinic used Tol and the other MHS Genesis, your files in MHS Genesis can have gaps. You will find these “deviation” recordings in the Patient Tol portal. Be sure to download them.
- You cannot download your recordings until the past 30 years, from the date on which you connect to Tol.
- Protect your health information. When you download or print your personal health information, it becomes your responsibility to keep it safe. Use secure options. Avoid saving personal data on unsecured devices or platforms.
It is also important to know that if you plan to file a complaint with the Department of Veterans CombatorsThis downgrading will not affect your ability to do so. Suppliers will always have access to your full health files.
Yes. You can consult all the health data available for your children under the age of 12. For children aged 12 to 17, you can see the results of the COVVI-19, coronavirus and flu tests, as well as allergic data, vital and immunization data.
Due to state confidentiality laws, there are limits to health data that you can consult online for your children aged 12 to 17. You can request printed results of the clinic or supplier of your child.
