Local musical group The Doublewide Kings and Friends will perform a benefit concert for the Marjorie Luke Theater, at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 25, at the Marjorie Luke, 721 E. Cota St., Santa Barbara.
The concert will celebrate the music of Neil Young.
Doublewide Kings, who just played a sold-out show called “Next Waltz” with the Santa Barbara Symphony, are known for their unique take on classic rock greats.
The Kings have performed five sold-out tribute shows at the Lobero and Granada theaters, starting with their Neil Young show in 2018, followed by Crosby, Stills & Nash in 2019, The Allman Brothers in 2021, Van Morrison (with the Santa Barbara Symphony) in 2023 and The Band (also with the Santa Barbara Symphony) in 2024.
The Kings are going back to basics by celebrating the music of Neil Young once again in 2025, this time with the help of some special guests.
Opening for the Kings will be Santa Barbara favorite Johnny Irion’s US Elevator. The Kings will be joined by local guitar star Jackson Gillies, Phil Salazar on violin and Marc McKennon on Dobro.
