The duo approached the executive producer Kevin Eastwood of Optic Nerve Films to help bring the series to life.
“We could not expect when we undertook this project, that it would be the worst season never recorded, for the covered area and also the lost lives,” said Eastwood.
One of these fires, the McDougall Creek forest center, destroyed nearly 200 houses and burned 13,500 hectares in the center of Okanagan.
“I was blown away by the number of people (of) of the community presenting themselves and presenting themselves to make donations and help people,” said Eastwood.
“I think we can all use more stories like that and see that people usually want to help each other.”
Their efforts are ready to light the screens via the knowledge network on April 29.
