“Food has always been very important for IKEA, and we wanted to allow even more people to take advantage of our restoration offer while exploring our range of furnishings at home,” said Tolga Oncu, responsible for the retail sale of Ingka at Ikea Retail.
The offer, however, varies according to where you are, with different regions of the world, seeing different levels of discounts.
Ikea Canada told Global News that the 50% drop would only apply to “Ikea family” members, those who have registered in the company’s free loyalty program.
It will be in effect from July 10 to the end of August in Canada and will apply to certain main dishes.

According to a spokesperson, children will eat for free, but the Canadian offer will not apply until Wednesday, with the purchase of a required adult meal.
Those who buy a meal during qualification dates and times will also receive a coupon to shop at the store, although it must be used on the same day.
The coupon will either allow $ 25 on a purchase of $ 75 or more, or $ 35 of discounts on a purchase of $ 120 or more, said the company.
The company says that with hundreds of millions of guests visiting IKEA restaurants, its goal is to give people the opportunity to “stretch their budgets, feed their families and find a little more joy”.
According to a press release, the change in food costs will apply to restaurants in Canada, the United Kingdom, Sweden, China, Denmark, Austria, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, South Korea and Switzerland.
In the case of France, the company said that a five -euro voucher ($ 8 C) will be given to customers to shop at the store.
The company said that it “refreshed” its food offers with new dishes inspired by Asian flavors as well as the launch of its “very first Falafel”.
