1. Talk to your local APEX accelerator
Government contracts can be complex, especially for small businesses that are involved for the first time. 3. Understand the mission and objectives of FEMA
FEMA mission It is to help people before, during and after disasters. This is the higher objective of all those who work for or with FEMA on the ground. Once there is a presidential declaration of a major disaster or an emergency, FEMA coordinates and collaborates with federal, state, local and tribal agencies to obtain assistance to survivors.

- Emergency support functions (ESF) Can be activated selectively for incidents of the Stafford Act law and the non-warned law. 4. Monitor the contract opportunity sites
