The first class is about to start. So how did you decided who were the candidates going to be? There is therefore an extensive interview process that we have followed and we have sorted hundreds of candidates. And there are more than 15,000 people who apply for spots in the country. So that’s where we had to start. ALL RIGHT. So what will be some of their medical objectives will be. Their objective is therefore of course to learn to treat patients both in hospital and in the ambulatory framework. And that’s all about drugs. Procedures, technology, but also what really fascinates us is teaching them to take care of patients in a very personal way, little bedside. This communication, understanding what is really wanted. This summer, Dignity Health Mercy San Juan Medical Center will leap forward in medical education by welcoming his very first class of residents in internal medicine. From July 1, the inaugural cohort of 10 residents, chosen from an international basin of candidates, will embark on a three -year residence transformer program adapted to meet the health care needs of Northern California. As a leader in neurovascular care and housing the DIGNITY Health Institute Neurological of Northern California, Mercy San Juan is well equipped to train future doctors.
It has a level II trauma center, a neonatal intensive care unit, and serves as a regional center for complex cases and specialized medical services.
The program obliges residents to carry out 13 rotations per year, covering essential areas such as intensive care, ambulatory care and specialized disciplines.
