EXCLUSIVE: THE Department of Internal Security (DHS) indicates that it puts an end to collective negotiations for transport security officers with the transportation security administration (ASD).
In a press release obtained exclusively by Fox Business, DHS said that the ASD has more people who do “full -time union work” rather than performing screening functions in 86% of American airports.
This means that out of 432 Federalized airports374 airports have less than 200 TSA officers to perform screening functions. These officers are paid by the government but work “full time on union issues” and do not retain certification to perform screening, said the DHS.

The department has cited a recent survey on ASD employees which revealed that more than 60% of “bad artists” are allowed to remain employed and “without surprise, continue not to work”.
DHS said these circumstances have hampered the responsibility of the ASD “to protect our transport systems and protect Americans.”
The DHS has argued that the elimination of collective negotiations will make airports more effective by eliminating “bureaucratic obstacles that will improve productivity and waiting times for lower passengers in security lines”.

DHS said that transport security officers will now be promoted according to their performance, not longevity or membership in the Union.
“Thanks to the action of secretary Noem (DHS), transport security officers will no longer lose their dollars hardened to a union which does not represent them. Trump administration Agrees to return to hiring and dismissal policies based on merit, “said a spokesperson for the DHS in a press release.

“This action will guarantee that Americans will have (labor) more efficient and modernized through the country’s transport networks – which means that the ASD has renewed its commitment to provide a quick and secure travel process for Americans.”
The US Federation of Government employees, which represents TSOs, has rejected DHS complaints, claiming that TSOs who volunteer as union representatives represent less than half a hundred of all hours of work done at the TSA, with fewer union representatives at the TSA than the number of total screening of 86% of individual federal airports.
“47,000 transport security officers are presented in more than 400 airports across the country every day to ensure that our sky is safe for plane trips. Many of them are veterans who have gone from their country to the armed forces to carry a second uniform protecting the fatherland and and another terrorist attack as September 11 occurs again”, “AFGE National, Everett Kelley, Who is characterizing Friday as Friday as a “AFGE PRESINTOF Noem and the Trump administration.

“They gave as justification a completely manufactured affirmation concerning union officials – clearly indicating that this action has nothing to do with efficiency, security or internal security. It is simply a pretext to attack the rights of regular workers across the country because they belong to a union,” said Kelley. “Our union challenged the illegal actions of this administration targeting federal workers, both before the legal courts and before the Public Opinion Court. Now, our TSA officers pay the price with this action clearly in retaliation.”
