Two students graduates from the University of Northwood won the exceptional superior paper prize in commercial analysis at the International Conference of Business (IBAC) of 2025, which was held from May 8 to 9 at New York State University in Fredonia.
The award -winning newspaper, entitled “Value retention: predictive models based on segments for the unsubscribe of customers in banking services”, “ Was co-written by Abhishek Sharma and Priyal Rawat under the mentoring of Dr. Itauma itauma, PH.D. The study introduced an automatic learning framework to predict customer disabiation in the banking sector, emphasizing personalized strategies for client segments with high content and regular.
Using models such as logistical regression, decision -making shaft, random forest and gradient strengthening, research has prioritized predictive precision and explanation. A sensitive approach to costs addressed class imbalances, and a system for rating the risk of unsubscription has been developed to allow banks to practively prioritize the strategies of customer retention.

Abhishek Sharma and Priyal Rawat come from Mumbai, India. A married couple, the couple has been studying Devos Graduate School of Management at Northwood University since August 2024.
