Simmons Bank of Pine Bluff announced Tuesday’s hiring of David Kennedy as executive vice-president and technology director.
Kennedy will be responsible for supervising the provision of technological capacities to all areas of the bank. He will also play a “crucial” role in Simmons’ technical strategy, in particular innovation, infrastructure, cost reduction and collaboration to “ensure that technological efforts align with the success of the company,” the bank said in a press release.
Before joining Simmons Bank, Kennedy was executive vice-president and information director in a trustmark bank in Jackson, Mississippi, for more than six years, according to her Linkedin page. Before that, he was director of technology for the Stone Energy Corp. de Lafayette, Louisiana

Kennedy holds a computer baccalaureate from the State University of Mississippi. He also finished educational programs at the Pacific Institute, the Harvard Business School and the University of Louisiana in Lafayette.
He is vice-president of the board of directors of Old Mountain Arboretum in Winona, Mississippi, and is a former member of the board of directors of Acadiana Animal Aid, animal Welfare Organization in Carencro, in Louisiana.
