The Data Quality Management Management Working Group (DQMC) is a working group at Resourcing Decision Board (RDB) via the president of the DQMC working group. The DQMC team serves as an advisory organization to develop and recommend strategic orientation for the RDB in support of the DQMC program of the Military Health System (MHS) and its partner Instruction of the Ministry of Defense (DODI) 6040.40. The DQMC program provides control of orders and a recommended structure to improve the submission of complete, precise and timely data and to ensure the uniformity and standardization of information through MHS. The responsibilities of the working group include:
The identification of the gaps in policy and information on the system having an impact on the implementation of the DODI 6040.40 in terms of military service and the military treatment installation (MTF) coordinated with other MHS and DHA directors, as needed, to communicate deficits and provide recommended solutions:
- Make sure that the DQMC examination list and the commander’s data quality declaration (DODI 6040.40) are updated to reflect policy changes and standards as needed
- Serve as a point of contact for the government of the government’s responsibility / Inspector General of the Ministry of Defense (GAO / Dodig) and other external agencies on all DQMC issues
- Offer monitoring and support in driving the MHS data quality training course, the webinaries of the DQMC program and provide training and education in the implementation of the Dodi 6040.40
