(Phoenix, AZ) – The CronkitePro initiative at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication from Arizona State University is proud to announce the sports media – the analyst from the point of view of the athlete – a six -week online professional development certificate that explores his experiences conveyed Harrison, PHD, a leading voice culture.
Designed for aspiring sports analysts, ancient and current athletes and media professionals, the course offers an in -depth overview of the evolution of sports media – where narration is believing with culture, identity and new digital platforms.
“This course is not only to learn to be in front of the camera,” says Harrison. “It is a question of understanding the cultural power of the voice of the athlete to shape how we speak and understand sport.”
Participants will refine their presence on the camera, will sharpen analytical and narration skills and will explore the activities of the media brand, while learning from the initiates of the industry who have transformed the field. The course offers a summit in the faculty in person of the sports media in Los Angeles, offering learners a unique opportunity to connect face to face with leaders through the main sports networks and the leagues.

Meet the facilitator

C. Keith Harrison, PhD is a leading voice in the intersection of sport, business and culture. A full -retired professor at the University of Florida Centrale (UCF), Harrison founded the Minor which is the major program management of sport business and has managed online education initiatives for more than a decade. He is the creator of the first academic certificate in hip-hop affairs and was honored by the prestigious Hip Hop Nasir Jones Hop 2020-21 University.
Expert in leadership, inclusive excellence, sports marketing and innovation, Harrison co-formed with industry leaders such as Reggie Saunders (Jordan Brand) and published in depth on subjects ranging from the analysis of sports companies to hip-hop and multicultural marketing. He is currently editor -in -chief of the Journal of Higher Education, Athletics, Labor & Innovation and has worked with large organizations such as NFL, NCAA and Brand Jordan.
A former academic-athlete, his research and his teaching continue to raise inclusive excellence and cultural innovation in the sports and entertainment industries.
