Matthew Gray Gublerwho played for 15 seasons in Criminal minds before it was reorganized into Criminal Minds: Evolutionis finally expected to make an appearance in the upcoming third season of the Revival series.
Weekly Entertainment has confirmed that Gubler will reprise his role as the awkwardly charming and supernaturally genius Dr. Spencer Reid for a single-episode portion. The series officially wrapped production on season 3 (season 18 if you count the series’ full run) this week, which means fans can start the clock on the days until they reunite with Spence again .

Criminal minds broadcast his explosive season 15 finale on CBS in 2020. “There will still be cases on their desks. They’re not gone,” she said. “Dr. Reed’s office still has all of his books and all of his stuff… We still want that connection with Dr. Reed and Matt Simmons (Daniel Henney), who is also on another mission. That’s something we can’t really argue. But if they come back, that’s up to them. I can’t promise anything at the moment.

Henney appeared in both seasons of the spinoff series Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders. But neither he nor Moore have returned since Evolution.
