Crete, Neb. (Koln) – A revolutionary ceremony took place on Monday for a new multiple and versatile versatile sports establishment which will serve students from Crete public schools through football, football, tennis, track and group.
The athletes and administrators of Crete inaugurated the new sports complex on a training ground near the tennis courts.
The RISE project: Elevation of the cardinal experience is a project of $ 10 million which will be funded in part with 4 million to $ 5 million in the district construction fund. The rest will come from a capital campaign.
The project will be divided into three phases:
The first phase is the construction of a football stadium, where the current track of the Lycée de la Crete is located. They will provide new lighting, permanent stand seats, a press box, dashboards, improved event planning control and safer and better managed athletics environments.
Currently, Crete football, football and the track compete at Doane University. However, as the programs of the two establishments have developed, the planning of conflicts and the limitations of space has made more and more difficult for students in Crete to compete, practice and perform without disturbance.
“Many of our neighbors also increase their facilities,” said Matt Martin, director of activities at Crete High School. “So, so for us to have a project that we can have impatiently children, I think the energy is, is really palpable and created at the moment.”
The first phase will be carried out in time for the fall semester. These upgrades will allow CPS to host for the first time football and first -year, first -year and JV football events, as well as football and track events, on spaces controlled by the district.
The improvements in phase two will include widened tennis courts, coache boxes, an experienced fans with concession stands and a Spirit store and a dedicated locker room.
The final phase will add a new multi-sporting house, additional track and field improvements, an installation of lawn in the field, paved car parks and additional infrastructure improvements.
The people involved in the RISE project expect it to be completed by 2028.
