Lieutenant-Governor and Trade Secretary David Toland announced today the official launch of Kansas Small Business Office. The division is dedicated to the empowerment of small businesses through the State with the resources, connections and the support they need to prosper, serving as a vital link between entrepreneurs and the government of the State.
“While large companies relocating or developing in Kansas tend to make the headlines, we fully recognize that small businesses are key engines of the robust economy of our state”, ” Lieutenant-Governor and Secretary of Commerce David Toland said. “With the creation of this new division, we are committing resources to double this growth.”
The objective is justified, because more than 99% of all Kansas companies are small businesses.
The Kansas Small Business Office consolidates the key trade resources and creates a centralized point of contact in the government of the State for entrepreneurs who sail on commercial development, certifications, permits, access to capital, mentoring and more. One of the unique offers from the office will be Connectks, a new online platform that will simplify access to commercial resources on the state scale. Supplied by EComapConnectks is designed to help entrepreneurs, small businesses and ecosystem manufacturers to connect with programs, financing opportunities, support organizations and events.
The platform provides a database in real time and available for resources available through the Kansas entrepreneurial ecosystem. The digital center is adapted to meet the needs of users at each stage of commercial development.
“The Kansas Small Business Office makes it easier for Kansans to find the resources they need to start and develop a business”, ” Kansas director Small Business Office, Taylor Overton, said. “Whether the launch of a first company or a prosperous company scaling, our office gives clarity, connectivity and confidence to our Kansas companies.”
