West Florida Wheelmen – Ride of Silence
5:15 p.m. May 21. Pensacola State College, 1160 College Blvd. The participants will meet for a short ceremony in front of the WSRE building. They will then be escorted by the Pensacola police service for a slow and silent trip of seven miles around the airport. Help the organizers to spread the mission of the global conduct of silence to honor cyclists killed or injured by motorists, promote road sharing and raise awareness of cycling. Brit Floyd: I would like you to be here
8 p.m. May 21. Sangeger Theater, 118 S. Palafox St. Brit Floyd, trained in 2011, presents performances supported by a huge and somewhat organized production of artistic production, revealing the astonishing sound and visual landscapes of the emblematic catalog of Pink Floyd. Memorial Day ceremony
May 9:25 am. Veterans Memorial Park, 200 S. 10th Ave. For over 30 years, the Memorial Park Veterans has been a place to honor and remember the heroes of our country. The park will open at 9 a.m. for exhibitors and visitors to the ceremony at 1 p.m., this year ceremony will include music from McGuire’s Pipe Band and Pensacola Opera Chorus, as well as a presentation of crowns by local civic organizations. The speaker of honor is Captain Tim “Lucky” Kinsella Jr., (USN, RET). Kinsella served in the United States Navy for more than 30 years and commanded the commander at NAS Pensacola before retirement.
